About RUSH Rep

Competitive Basketball, Reasonable Schedule

The Rush Rep Program is a competitive basketball program for boys and girls in Grades 3 through 6. The rep season runs from mid-September to early April, with teams competing in The Coalition League from late October to late March and additional tournaments.

Rush generally offers one team per birth year. If there is significant interest at a specific birth year, a second team may be offered. In that case, teams are split by skill level (A and B) and play in separate Coalition League divisions.

Reasonable Weekly Commitment

Teams practice 3x week during the Fall season (Sept-Dec). During the Winter, teams practice 2x week on weeknights to allow for kids to ski and play other sports on the weekends.

Professional Coaches

Each team is led by a professional Rush Coach and supported by a parent assistant coach and team manager.

Monthly League Play

Through the Coalition League, teams play a 12-game regular season with one guaranteed playoff game and all-star weekend. Teams play 2-3 games per weekend.

Set Practices & Games

Teams practice during the same days and times each week, with minimal changes throughout the season. Games and tournaments are set well in advance and communicated early.

Have Questions?

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the rep registration fees?
Registration fees vary by team and age division but generally range from $2,300 to $2,700 per season, plus HST. Fees cover all practice time, league entry, tournament entry fees, professional coaching, and insurance. Players are also required to purchase a Rush Rep uniform package for an additional $150 + HST. These are approximate ranges and may change with final costs.
What is the refund policy?
Due to limited roster spots and the costs associated with Coalition League and tournament entry, rep registration fees are non-refundable.

Injury or Illness: If an injury or illness prevents participation in more than 50% of the season, a pro-rated refund will be provided only if the child's roster spot can be filled. A doctor's note is required.
How are teams picked?
Evaluations consist of two sessions per team in May and June. Additional evaluations may be added in late August or early September if needed. Players must attend both spring evaluations to be considered. Teams are selected on the basis of skill level, team commitment, and family philosophy.
Where are games played?
Games are played at various top-quality venues around the GTA through The Coalition League. For full schedule and venue details, visit coalitionbasketball.com.
What is the difference between Rush Rep and Spark League?
Spark League is Rush's house league program. It runs two sessions per week throughout Fall and Winter, welcomes all skill levels, and requires no tryouts.

Rush Rep runs from mid-September to early April with 2-3x practices per week plus Coalition League games and tournaments. Tryouts are required and all teams are coached by paid professional coaches.
Are there girls rep teams?
Yes. Rush currently offers girls rep teams at U11 and U13, subject to registration. Both teams compete in the Coalition Basketball League's girls rep division. The same tryout process applies — players must attend both tryout sessions to be considered.
