The RUSH Way

Our Development Philosophy

Every drill, rep, and feedback moment is shaped by these seven principles.

01
Maximum Reps

No lines, no laps, no lectures. Players are always moving. More touches per session means faster development at every level.

02
Apply Skills in Games

We teach the when, not just the how. Drills connect directly to game situations so players know exactly when to use what they are learning.

03
High-Quality Coaching

Qualified, caring coaches who give real feedback and invest in each player's long-term development, not just their performance today.

04
Be an Athlete

Movement skills and physical literacy first. Strong fundamentals transfer across every sport and set players up for long-term success.

05
Learn Life Skills

We build Respect, Unity, Sweat, and Heart. The court is where character gets built, not just where baskets get made.

06
Passion for the Game

If players love being in the gym, they keep coming back. Energy and enthusiasm are the biggest differentiators in long-term development.

07
Age-Appropriate Growth

Long-term development over short-term results, always. We build players who improve steadily over years, not just one season.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where exactly are sessions held?
All Skills Program sessions are at Branksome Hall's Junior School Gym in Midtown Toronto. Limited parking available on-site.
Is this right for a beginner?
Yes. The program welcomes players of all skill levels in grades 3–6, from first-timers to kids already on school or rep teams.
Can my child do both Tuesday and Thursday?
The program is set up as a single-day commitment. If you want your child attending both days, email us at info@rushbasketball.ca and we can discuss availability and pro-rated pricing.
What does my child need to bring?
Clean indoor athletic shoes, a water bottle, and athletic clothes. Basketballs are provided — players are welcome to bring their own if they prefer.
What is the refund policy?
Cancellations submitted by email at least 30 days before the first session receive a full refund minus a $50 administration fee. No refunds after that deadline. Contact info@rushbasketball.ca.
How is this different from Spark League?
This is a standalone Skills Program with no weekend games or standings. It is entirely focused on skill development, which makes it a strong complement to Spark League or any other program your child is already in.
Can I save money by registering for both Skills Program and Spark League?
Yes. Register for both Skills Program and Spark League and you'll save $50 on the second registration. Once you've registered for both, email info@rushbasketball.ca to claim the discount and we'll sort out the details.
