Where practice meets play. Spark League delivers rep-quality coaching and weekly competitive games with the convenience and accessibility of a house league, right in Midtown Toronto.
Program Overview
Spark League is our version of a high-quality houseleague, offered for players ages 8-12 in one efficient 90-minute session that combines 45 minutes of high-energy, coach-led skill development with 45 minutes of live, officiated games. Teams are built by age and ability so every player gets quality reps and a competitive game, packed into an efficient single-day schedule. Teams are coached by professional Rush Basketball coaches, many of whom played collegiate or professional basketball.
Spark League runs out of De La Salle College near St. Clair Ave & Avenue Road, and serves many families in Midtown Toronto, Forest Hill, North Toronto, Leaside, Rosedale, and the Annex. As players grow and develop, many advance to Prep For Rep, add extra reps through our Shooting Clinic or 'Be An Athlete' Clinic, or move on to competitive Rep Teams. Spark League is offered as one convenient session per week, with no weeknight commitments required.

Common Questions
How are groups created?
Every season opens with a player evaluation. Coaches assess each player and build balanced groups by age and skill so games stay fair and every player is developmentally challenged.
Can my child request to play with friends?
Friend requests are welcome, but they can't be guaranteed. Balanced groups come first, since that's what keeps the competition and development fair for everyone.
Where do sessions take place, and which neighbourhoods do you serve?
All sessions are held at De La Salle College's John Hunt Centre on Avenue Road in Midtown Toronto. Most of our Spark League families live in Forest Hill, North Toronto, Leaside, the Annex, and North York, with a short, predictable drive or transit ride each Saturday.
Can I save money by registering for both Spark League and Skills Program?
Yes. Register for both and you'll save $50 off the second registration. Once both are registered, email info@rushbasketball.ca to claim the discount.
